Covert Audit Violations

Covert audit violations sometimes result in an owner penalty.  Like administrative Nines, violations are considered subsequent if they occur within a two-year period.

  • First Offense:   For  a  Nirst  offense  during  a  covert  audit,  a  written  notice  of violation  will  be  issued.    No Nines  or  other  penalties  will  be  assessed  against  the owner.
  • SecondOffence:For a second offense during a covert audit, the station owner or representative will be required to take an education course.
  • ThirdOffenseFor a third offense during a covert audit, the owner will be Nined

$1,000.

  • FourthOffense:For a fourth offense during a covert audit, the owner’s license to operate the station will be revoked. Additional civil penalties may be pursued

against the owner.
